Best Ever "I mean it....it's really the Best Ever Shrimp recipe around. (better known as:Ann's Shrimp Recipe)
Ann is famous for this shrimp recipe and you will be too. Don't let the number of ingredients scare you. They are all things you probably have at home except for the shrimp. You can use any size shrimp but we prefer the big ones.
What you need:
What you do:
De-vein the shrimp if it did not come already done. Use scissors to cut the back of the shell open and pull out the vein by hand. This is very easy to do and takes only a couple minutes to do the whole lot.
Sprinkle about 1T chilli powder and about 1T salt on the shrimp in a large bowl, cover the bowl and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
While the shrimp is chilling, melt the butter in a shallow pan. When it is melted put the onion and garlic in the pan. Place all the rest of the ingredients in the pan in the order they appear in the recipe along with the salt and remaining chilli powder at the end. Use only a small amount of tabasco sauce to start and add more according to how hot you like it. I put in about 3 dashes. After 15 minutes remove the lemon slices.
Pour about one quarter the sauce mixture over the shrimp and return to the fridge. Heat up your barbie. When it is hot put the shrimp on the upper level not too close to the flame. Let the shrimp cook until it is all pink outside.
Remove from heat, dip in sauce heated or cold and enjoy the most scrumpdelicious combination ever.
Ann knows her stuff when it comes to this Best Ever Shrimp Recipe. Try these out, we hope you enjoy them as much as we do.

Spicy Tomato Salad Recipe
Everyone loves this tasty spicy tomato salad recipe. Think outside the bowl -use different tomato types and colours. Try out different kinds of basil too. Opal basil is purple and makes this spicy tomato salad recipe look fabulous and festive.
What you need:
What you do:
Cut tomatoes into large chunks. Do not make then all uniform pieces. This lets more of the juice out into the "dressing". Slice onion very thin so they are see through. Squish garlic with something flat on the bottom. For example you can use the flat side of a large knife or the bottom of the oil bottle.
Combine these in a bowl with the rest of the ingredients. Mix well and let sit. The longer you let it sit the stronger the flavours will taste.
Before serving remove the hunk of garlic and discard. Serve with crusty Italian bread for dipping.
